I had one of those turtles! I believe they are Red-Eared Turtles. My Mom told me it ran away but she later confessed it had frozen and died. lol 😛 Childhood traumas…

  3. There is a little nursery near my workplace with a good-sized pond and turtles! Sometimes when I just need a break I go over at lunchtime and just watch them. I think they’re quite fascinating. You took some nice photos! I love the little flash of orange coloring. 🙂

Turtles just fascinate me. You don’t find them like you used too, unfortunately.

I took some last summer – I’m so glad for the pixels on my camera as I had to really crop down to make it look this good. It’s the last photo here.

    1. Thanks! Don’t they have beautiful coloring?? I also like how the stripe in his eye (his pupil) contrasts with the stripes on his face.

  6. Very cool! I love turtles, though when I was little I had a box turtle who ran away from home, never to be found. I’m still not over it.
