  1. I just hope all our plants survive! I have covered a good portion of my yard in frost cloth trying to protect my succulents! I saw my poinsettias this morning and let’s just say that I don’t think they’ve made it! 😦 We’ll have to see what else does or does not make it, but you’re right, it is COLD!!

    1. I am very ready to thaw out. What a wimp I am… seven days of cold, and I’m ready for warmer weather! I don’t know about you all down south where it’s usually warmer, but we’re due to see highs in the 60s starting today. Sounds downright tropical at this point! Hope your plants hold up OK. 🙂 We have mostly natives in our yard, and they seem to be doing just fine. The rosemary (well, not a native) even seems to have fresh growth!

Ice makes for beautiful photographs. My cold virus prevents me from taking advantage of the recent ice and snow in Colchester with photography at the moment.

    1. Oh, Alex, it’s been so cold here this past week for us coastal Californians. We’ve experienced a week of below freezing temps. The ice in the local creek isn’t thawing during the day! We’re simply not acclimated for such temperatures here, but I guess I can’t really complain. The high today was almost comfortable, and I took my jacket off while my son was playing at the park and the kids were in their t-shirts. 🙂 I hope you feel better quickly!

    1. Thank you! Yes, the grass looked as if it would break in half if touched.
