Crissy Field, San Francisco

On Monday morning, my husband and I went for a run out at Crissy Field in San Francisco (while our so rode his bike).  This is my absolute favorite spot to run in the Bay Area.  Luckily, it’s also an awesome trail for kids to ride bikes!  I took a couple photos from the East Beach parking lot before heading out on our run…

The beach here is great for kids (and dogs!), too.  A couple photos of our boy playing on the beach after our run (and ride)…

I recommend this spot to everyone visiting San Francisco.  The views of the Golden Gate Bridge, the Marin Headlands, and Alcatraz are stunning, and the flat, packed-dirt trail is perfect for a walk, run, or bike ride… whatever your ability may be.

I’m just envious of the short sleeves. It’s getting pretty cold here in Budapest these days. Makes going out for biking excursions a less-than-appealing option.

We’re really enjoying the warm days, though we’ve been having quite a bit of rain, too (no complaints… we need it!). As you know, November in San Francisco can be warmer than July or August!

    Linda,

We were just there several weeks ago- in SF for a friend’s wedding. It’s a real jewel in a city filled with great venues. Thanks for sharing this.

So glad you were able to see Crissy Field during your visit, Tom! San Francisco does have an overwhelming number of gorgeous and/or interesting sites to see… it’s tough to choose if you’re only in town for a weekend.

  3. This was my favorite place to run and talk a walk in the morning when I lived there. What a great place to take the kids as well 🙂 Great photos! Made me miss home a bit, thanks for sharing it and brightening my day!

I wish I lived closer, but at least I’m able to get out to Crissy Field multiple times per year.
