Photos from a hike I took this morning with my son at Don Edwards S.F. Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Newark, California . We walked the the short 0.7 mile walk around the LaRiviere Marsh Trail, beginning at the Visitor Center.

I’m not familiar with how the trail was named. I didn’t realize it was named after individuals.. I assumed a place. Thank you for sharing this information!

Great pictures! I’ve wanted to visit Don Edwards. I wonder if it’s close enough that I could go on a lunch hour, it would do me some good to get outside on these long Saturdays!

It’s right by the Dumbarton Bridge, on our side of the bridge. Might be doable on a lunch break. There’s no entry fee, either.

Considering how frequently we go to Coyote Hills, which is just across the freeway, we haven’t been here before. We’ll definitely be going back!
