American Robin

We found a ton of these cute little guys hopping around on the forest floor between the Ahwahnee Hotel and Yosemite Village.  My son has been asking about robins a lot lately, as he’s obsessed with Batman and Robin.  We’ve shown him photos of robins, and he was interested, but we were excited to finally be able to show him the birds in person.  He loved them!

Playing with my mother-in-law’s camera…. Yosemite Valley, June 28th, 2012.

Very nice shots. My brother took this photo outside his house – there are six robins in the bush, but it takes some looking to find them. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150649651017389&set=a.48793742388.57408.741417388&type=3&theater

I love robins! We have huge flocks of them here in Florida in winter.

I haven’t had much experience with robins. They were cute! And I swear they were following us down the path.

Quite different from the British robin.
