How do you plan to celebrate Earth Day this weekend?
Assuming my son is feeling better (he has a horrible sore throat today), on Saturday we will head to Crissy Field in San Francisco for Earth Stroll 2012. Sounds fun…
“Adventurous activities and games, hosted by some of the Bay Area’s leading environmental organizations, will engage the hearts, minds and bodies of the whole family. There will also be live music, live animal demonstrations, and ranger-led hikes.”
Before heading to the festival, we’ll probably enjoy a run (while our boy rides his bike) to the Warming Hut, where we’ll relax, sip a hot chocolate, and take in the scenery. The views, on a clear day, of the bay and the Golden Gate Bridge from here are gorgeous! After the festival, we’ll give our boy some beach time.
On Sunday, I prefer to spend actual Earth Day with my family, celebrating our planet with a quiet hike somewhere naturally scenic and less populated. We’ll keep that one to ourselves for now.
